Production to be replaced by Ronan Noone's SCENES FROM AN ADULTERY
A Message from Olympia Dukakis
“I deeply regret not being able to do THE MILK TRAIN DOESN’T STOP HERE ANYMORE at New Repertory Theatre and to work with Artistic Director, Jim Petosa,” Ms. Dukakis explains. “It is due to family responsibilities that I make this difficult decision. I wish all the best to New Rep and to a successful season.”
“The New Rep family is saddened by the departure of Ms. Dukakis from our production,” says Artistic Director, Jim Petosa. “Her generosity and talent will be missed, but we understand and appreciate her dedication and commitment to her family. We wish her and her family the very best.”
New Repertory Theatre’s 2014-2015 season will culminate with the Next Rep World Premiere of SCENES FROM AN ADULTERY by Ronan Noone. The production will replace THE MILK TRAIN DOESN’T STOP HERE ANYMORE, which was to feature Olympia Dukakis. Due to family commitments, Ms. Dukakis will be unable to appear in the production.
Local playwright Ronan Noone’s newest work, SCENES FROM AN ADULTERY, will replace THE MILK TRAIN DOESN’T STOP HERE ANYMORE, and will be performed April 25-May 24, 2015 in the Charles Mosesian Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA.
“We’re excited to welcome local playwright Ronan Noone as one of this year’s Next Voices Playwriting Fellows,” says Artistic Director, Jim Petosa. “He possesses a style and depth in his work that has proven time and again to be a genuine treat to theatre-goers, and SCENES FROM AN ADULTERY is no exception. It is with great pleasure that we present his work on our stage for the very first time in this exhilarating and funny World Premiere production.”
SCENES FROM AN ADULTERY will be directed by New Rep Associate Artistic Director Bridget Kathleen O’Leary and will feature Ciaran Crawford, Peter Stray, and Leda Uberbacher.
