Jamie Semel makes her New Repertory Theatre debut as a member of the 2019 – 2020 Classic Repertory Company tour. Previous credits include Picnic at Hanging Rock, [or, the whale], and Winter Panto’s Paul Bunyan and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea with imaginary beasts, and Still, Now with Heart & Dagger. Jamie studied Theater Arts and Environmental Studies at Brandeis University and is an alum of the National Theater Institute and the British American Drama Academy. Jamie is excited to bring her love of ensemble storytelling on the road!


Alex Hanscom makes his New Repertory Theatre debut as a member of the 2019 – 2020 Classic Repertory Company tour. Alex is a recent graduate of the Emerson College BFA Acting program. Some recent credits include Measure for Measure (Angelo), Brazen (Ike), and The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Monk) with Emerson Stage, as well as I Hate You (Bill) and Peter and the Starcatcher (Black Stache) with Emerson Mercutio Troupe. When not acting, Alex teaches with Boston Children’s Theatre and creates short-form video content on YouTube. Alex is super excited to join CRC and can’t wait to introduce students to the world of theatre!


Issy Zoppo makes her New Repertory Theatre debut as a member of the 2019 – 2020 Classic Repertory Company tour. Issy is a Boston based actor and educator. Recent credits include: Romeo & Juliet, Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again., and Our Town. Graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University. Issy is excited for the opportunity to share theatre with students who may have never seen it before!


Courtney Beth Plati makes her New Repertory Theatre debut as a member of the 2019 – 2020 Classic Repertory Company tour. Courtney is an SDC Associate director, actor, and educator currently working in the Boston area. She is a recent graduate from Salem State University where she found her passion for directing while receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in performance. Her passion for education stems from her work with teens, teaching and directing them in the Shakespeare elective at Camp Meraki, where she has been for the past five summers. Courtney is the recipient of the SDC Directing Initiative Award for Region 1 from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival 2018. She is an acting apprentice alumni of Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and has worked with them in different capacities as an assistant director for their production of Universe Rushing Apart: Blue Kettle and Here We Go, and as a scene and monologue coach this summer for their apprentice programme.


Shanelle Villegas makes her New Repertory Theatre debut as a member of the 2019 – 2020 Classic Repertory Company tour. Recent credits include; Nana in School Girls or; The African Mean Girls Play (Speakeasy stage) Angus/Fleance in Macbeth (Actors’ Shakespeare Project) and Cassandra/Kate in a devised piece titled And Speak I Will (Boston Center for the Arts). Shanelle is a proud first-year graduate from Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s Contemporary Theatre program. She resides in Boston, MA and is a teaching-artist, competitive swim teacher, writer and deviser.


Isaiah Michael Grace makes his New Repertory Theatre debut as a member of the 2019 – 2020 Classic Repertory Company tour. Isaiah was born and raised in New Bedford Massachusetts and is a recent Graduate of The University of Massachusetts Amherst. Past theater credits include: Sweat, Spell 7, Infants of the Spring, Jesus Hopped the A Train, and Ta’zieh: Between Two Rivers. Isaiah is excited to go on this new journey with Classic Repertory Company!
