RACHEL BELLEMAN will make her New Repertory Theatre debut with this production of 1776. Regional credits include Stuart Little (Wheelock Family Theatre), Broadway Jukebox (Brown Box Theatre Project), Antigone (Flat Earth Theatre), Exit the King (Actors’ Shakespeare Project), Bridges of Madison County (SpeakEasy Stage), and Love Labour’s Lost (Commonwealth Shakespeare Company). She will return to Boston this spring to play Feste in Twelfth Night with Actors’ Shakespeare Project. Belleman holds a BA in Musical Theatre from James Madison University, and is affiliated with EMC. Originally from Richmond, VA she now resides in New York City.
Nick Chieffo makes his New Repertory Theatre debut as a member of the 2018 – 2019 Classic Repertory Company tour. Nick is a recent graduate of Emerson College. AIMEE DOHERTY returns to New Repertory Theatre after being seen as Snow Queen in The Snow Queen, Marry Me a Little, Maureen in Rent, Karen in Speed the Plow, Kathy in The Last Five Years, Sally in Cabaret, Susan in …tick, tick BOOM!, Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime, and Cinderella in Into the Woods among others. Other recent credits include Rosalind in As You Like It (Shakespeare & Company), Sally Bowles in Cabaret (Moonbox Productions), Gussie in Merrily We Roll Along (Huntington Theatre Company), Illona in She Loves Me (Greater Boston Stage Company), and performing as a soloist with the Boston Pops under the baton of Keith Lockhart at Symphony Hall. Aimee is a two-time Elliot Norton Award winner, and a two-time IRNE Award winner for Best Actress in a Musical. Originally from Bellingham, MA she now resides in Walpole, MA.
Alexander Hatcher (Lyman Hall) is making his New Rep debut in 1776. Riley Fox Hillyer makes his New Repertory Theatre debut as a member of the 2018-2019 Classic Repertory Company tour. He is a recent graduate of Emerson College, originally hailing from Saint Augustine, Florida. Recent credits include NAVIGATING DEATH ANXIETY: a how-to guide! (Actor), Tiny Houses (Olek/Lars), Cabaret DAS (fox),and staging NOMI at the Cabinet of Curiosities Festival. He is also a proud member of the band pUbeRty kiDs. McNeel won the Emerging Talent Award at the Kurt Weill/Lotte Lenya Competition and is a member of the American Spiritual Ensemble. AUSTIN PENDELTON returns to New Repertory Theatre after directing Fiddler on the Roof and performing in Quills, Waiting for Godot, and King Lear. He is also the recipient of New Rep’s 2015 Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement. Mr. Pendelton is an actor, director, playwright, and a teacher of acting at HB Studio in New York. As an actor he made his Broadway debut in the original production of Fiddler on the Roof, which was directed by Jerome Robbins. Subsequent Broadway productions in which he has appeared include Hail Scrawdyke (Clarence Derwent Award winner), Mike Nichols’ production of The Little Foxes, Doubles, and The Diary of Anne Frank (with Natalie Portman and Linda Lavin, in a new adaptation by Wendy Kesselman). He has also acted extensively off-Broadway and in other regional theatres, notably Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre, where he is a member of the Ensemble. He has acted in about 200 movies, and on such TV shows as Oz and Homicide, in each of which he has appeared in recurring roles. He has directed on, off, and off-off Broadway, at the Williamstown Theatre Festival (where he apprenticed under the guidance of Nikos Psacharopoulos), as well as at the National Theatre of Great Britain. His plays, published and produced in New York, around the country, and internationally, are Orson’s Shadow, Uncle Bob, and Booth.
KELLI EDWARDS returns to New Repertory Theatre after co-choreographing The Snow Queen with director Rick Lombardo and choreographing Fiddler on the Roof, RENT, The Hot Mikado (IRNE Award for Best Choreography), Passing Strange, Cabaret, The Wild Party, Ragtime, Romeo and Juliet, Into the Woods, Scapin, and The Threepenny Opera. Other Boston theatre credits include A Confederacy of Dunces, How Shakespeare Won the West, The Cherry Orchard, The Second Girl, Becoming Cuba, and Come Back, Little Sheba (Huntington Theatre Company); A Marvelous Party, Red, Hot, and Cole, In the Jungle of Cities, The King Stag, and The Taming of the Shrew (American Repertory Theater); The Secret Garden and Gypsy (Stoneham Theatre); and Love’s Labour’s Lost and Much Ado about Nothing (Actors’ Shakespeare Project). Cristina Todesco returns to New Repertory Theatre after designing Freud’s Last Session, A Number, On the Verge, Amadeus, Three Viewings, The Last Five Years, Opus, afterlife: a ghost story, Picasso at Lapin Agile, The Clean House, House with No Walls, Silence, and The Santaland Diaries.
