Mayuka Furuhashi

Mayuka Furuhashi (she/her/hers) is a second-year graduate student in the Publishing & Writing program at Emerson College, focusing on graphic design. Since her arrival to Boston, Mayuka has been making use of her creativity by designing an art exhibition brochure and a 60-page long magazine for school while having been organizing events and creating flyers for the Emerson community, as an ambassador of the Office of International Student Affairs. She also contributes her technical skills and design knowledge to the WonderSeed Foundation, a non-profit organization in Encino, CA, by creating weekly Instagram posts, delivering positive messages and aesthetics, and enhancing its social media engagement. In her free time, Mayuka educates herself in design basics, such as typography and color theory, and video editing in order to become a versatile graphic designer after completing the degree.
