I am fourth-year neurology resident at University of Chicago Medical Center. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science and Music Performance at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and received my Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio. I am currently completing the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics fellowship and will be pursuing a fellowship in Behavioral Neurology here next year. My current research interests include the clinical, pathological and genetic characterization of atypical dementia syndromes, preservation of personhood despite progressive loss of cortical function, and management of end-of-life care in neurodegenerative disease. Other research interests include utilization of music as therapy in dementia and addressing ethical issues in dementia care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and corgi-pitbull mix, Ginger, and grabbing drinks along the river with my co-residents.
