Singer, actor, dancer, chef, producer, keynote speaker and author Alton Fitzgerald White (he/him/his) captivates audiences whenever and wherever he performs.

He made his Broadway starring debut as John in Miss Saigon with his powerful heart- rending performance of the anthem “Bui Doi” bringing nightly ovations.

He then showcased his vocal versatility with the aggressive role of The Hawker on Broadway in The Who’s Tommy, the hit rock-opera.

Theatergoers were dazzled by his performance in Smokey Joe’s Café both on Broadway and in London’s West End.

Not long after returning from London, Alton landed the coveted starring role of Coalhouse Walker Jr. in Ragtime: The Musical.

Alton’s next move took him on the road to originate the role of Mufasa in the First National Tour of Disney’s The Lion King. Soon after, he was invited to take over the role in the Broadway company.

In the fall of 2007, he was offered the amazing opportunity to play the role of Mister in the The Color Purple and had the rare experience of starring in two broadway shows at the same time! By day, he rehearsed the role of Mister and by night he performed the role of Mufasa.

Alton has made guest appearances on many television shows like  “LAW AND ORDER, THE BLACKLIST and a recurring role on BULL as Judge Tahani in addition to appearing on the big screen opposite Nicole Kidman in THE GOLDFINCH and Sam Elliot in THE MAN WHO KILLED HITLER AND THEN THE BIGFOOT to name a few. Alton has performed in concerts around the globe, has lent his talents to dozens of voice-overs and commercial work and he co-produced his hit cd DISNEY MY WAY.

Alton’s critically acclaimed book MY PRIDE:MASTERING LIFE’S DAILY PERFORMANCE Is published by Disney Editions and has been nominated for several prestigious book awards.

In August of 2015, Alton became the longest running King Mufasa in The Lion King!
