Christmas At The Commander’s Mansion- A Victorian Holiday
Enliven your holiday season with this unique event! Our family-friendly Victorian holiday includes a self-guided tour of the Commander’s Mansion, merrily decorated for the holidays, and festive refreshments and treats for all. After you explore, enjoy Charles Dickens’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL, A PLAY WITH MUSIC, a presentation of the original 1843 novel by Art & Anvil Entertainment directed by Clay Hopper. This exciting and imaginative event condenses Dickens’ words into an hour and fifteen minutes, accompanied and underscored with both traditional and unexpected Christmas music and sound effects live on stage. Join us for this fresh, musical presentation of a beloved holiday story in a historic and jovial setting!

Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $15 for children. Seating is not reserved. The evening will be about 2 hours long including the tour, refreshments, and performance. Doors open at 6pm for 7pm performances. Free parking available in the lot outside the Commander’s Mansion and down Talcott Ave.

JEFFRIES THAISS (Art & Anvil Entertainment) has performed all over the country, having done plays at Seattle Repertory Theatre, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Great Lakes Theatre, Syracuse Stage, Portland Stage, Virginia Musical Theatre, Ogunquit Playhouse, Cape Playhouse, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Triad Stage, Shaker Bridge Theatre, New London Barn Playhouse, Northern Stage, Forestburgh Playhouse, Riverside Theatre, Middlebury College/ACTF (2014 Special Achievement in Performance), Kennedy Center, Olney Theatre Center, and New Repertory Theatre, among others. He’s also performed off-Broadway, and off-off Broadway, doing plays and sketch comedy in New York City.
