This special Spotlight Symposium event will begin with a private reception with Mr. Tóibín, author of The Testament of Mary, featuring a variety of appetizers, a complimentary spirits tasting with Boston Harbor Distillery, and dessert provided by Terry O’Reilly’s Irish Pub.
We’ll continue the evening with a reading from New Rep’s critically acclaimed production of The Testament of Mary, featuring Paula Langton, and an interview conducted by WGBH’s Arts Editor, Jared Bowen.
During the interview, we’ll explore some of Mr. Tóibín’s other works, including his highly acclaimed novel Brooklyn, now a major motion picture being considered for three Academy Awards.
Local non-profit More than Words will have Mr. Tóibín’s novels for sale during an exclusive book signing at the end of the evening.
Tickets are $75 and include complimentary food and drink, general admission seats to the reading and interview, and exclusive access to the book signing.
